Job Summary: The Hygiene Technician is responsible for regular cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitization of The Opportunity Tree’s Phoenix Campus during, and after regular hours of operation. This position requires a detail-oriented person, comfortable with cleaning and disinfecting multiple rooms, high touch areas and surfaces, and agency vehicles on an hourly basis, while also frequently interacting with other employees and people with intellectual disabilities in a high energy, fast paced environment. The Hygiene Technician will report to the Operations department and follow an established schedule of areas to clean and sanitize. This position is contingent on continual grant funding.

Essential Job Functions:

Clean, sanitize and disinfect all rooms, offices, door handles/knobs, desktops, chairs, tables, sinks, keyboards, computer screens, vehicle steering wheels, vehicle dashboards, supplies/equipment, printers, copy machines, and every other surface/area categorized as a “high touch surface”
Follow established cleaning and sanitization schedule developed by Operations department
Inventory all campus cleaning supplies and ensure established baseline quantities are maintained
Responsible for keeping daily accurate logs of areas cleaned and sanitized including times and dates
Required to use recommended PPE as appropriate and to ensure sanitization of the home and proper disposal of refuse as recommended by the CDC and outlined in agency policies and procedures
Maintain safe environment in keeping with The Opportunity Tree Policies and procedures
Perform daily job duties in a safe and healthy manner, including the use of proper techniques when lifting individuals and completion of first aid/CPR as needed
Maintains confidentiality of information regarding Members and The Opportunity Tree
Advocate on behalf of the Members and their families to ensure individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have a voice
Promote and maintain a collaborative and respectful working environment and a line of communications with all stakeholders of The Opportunity Tree
Comply with, and enforce all Policies, Procedures, and Regulations of The Opportunity Tree
Other job duties as assigned

Minimum of 18 years of age
Communicate in English; verbal and written
Experience: Prior janitorial and cleaning experience preferred but not required
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
Knowledge: Basic proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, web browser
Personal enthusiasm for participation in a non-profit organization, and for providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Positive attitude and ability to represent The Opportunity Tree effectively in the community. Ability to work collaboratively as a team member with Members, staff, families, funders and stakeholders
Successful completion and maintain all required training as current which may include CPR, First Aid, and Prevention and Support
Successfully meet AZ-DPS requirements for Fingerprint Clearance Card
Reliable transportation to The Opportunity Tree Phoenix campus
Skills to include but not limited to knowledge of principles in staff interaction, task productivity, time management, problem identification and resolution administration
